Available Licenses
The Fisheries Licensing Portal offers a range of licenses to support Uganda’s vibrant fisheries sector. Below are the key licenses you can apply for:Aquaculture License
For individuals or businesses engaged in fish farming.Eligibility: Open to Ugandan citizens and registered entities.
Requirements: Proof of land ownership/lease, aquaculture plan, and environmental impact assessment (if applicable).
Validity: 1 year, renewable.
Fishing Vessel License
Required for operating fishing vessels on Uganda’s water bodies.
Eligibility: Vessel owners or operators registered with MAAIF.
Requirements: Vessel registration documents, safety certification, and proof of ownership.
Validity: 1 year, renewable.
Fish Trade License
For traders involved in the sale, export, or import of fish and fish products.
Eligibility: Registered businesses or cooperatives.
Requirements: Business registration certificate, tax compliance certificate, and health/safety clearance.

Fish Processing License
