Integration Service (UGHub)
UgHub, spearheaded by the National Information Technology Authority - Uganda (NITA-U), is a groundbreaking initiative designed to streamline data sharing across government systems. By facilitating seamless, secure, and efficient information exchange among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), UgHub is transforming service delivery, enhancing decision-making, and fostering innovation across Uganda’s public and private sectors.
What is UgHub?
UgHub is a Data Integration Platform that connects disparate government systems, enabling real-time data sharing and collaboration. It addresses the challenges of heterogeneity, security, and inefficiency in government service delivery by providing a unified, vendor-neutral platform for integration.
Why UgHub?
Before UgHub, government entities faced numerous challenges:
- Tedious and costly processes: Custom code was required for every connection, making upgrades difficult.
- Disorganized systems: Poorly managed services led to instability and inefficiency.
- Lack of real-time information sharing: Processes were slow, and service delivery was hindered.
