NITA Uganda reduces the cost of Internet for Government

The National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U) has today announced a further reduction in the price of internet bandwidth for Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA’s) to $35 per mbps through the National Backbone Infrastructure (NBI).
Speaking at media Centre today, the Minister for ICT&NG Hon. Chris Baryomunsi ‘’Ladies and Gentlemen, with all these key achievements undertaken by Government under the National IT Authority (NITA-U), I`m delighted to announce that effective today 1st of August 2023 the Price of Internet has reduced from 70$ to 35$ per Mbps per month. I would like to note that this price reduction means Government Offices connected to the NBI will consume internet at the lowest price in the market’’ the Minister for ICT&NG Hon.
